Chronic aches in both joints and muscles are often characterized by pains that last more than 12 weeks. People often ask:
Can CBD oil help against pain and aches?
Chronic pain does not have to be a hopeless situation, even though it is often perceived that way. Chronic joint and muscle pain can be the result of a previous injury. It can be a sprained ankle or weakness due to long-term illness.
Chronic pain is often described as much more serious than acute injury since it is discovered after the injury has already taken place. This means that it takes longer for the body to address and process the injury because it has already been damaging the body for some time. Chronic inflammation leads to pain and damages muscle tissue. CBD oil is the most effective short-term treatment that does not affect your liver, kidneys, or stomach during prolonged use. This is partly because the hemp contains more antioxidants than for example vitamins C and E.
What is the accurate dose for me?
In case of prolonged pain, it may take some time before the CBD oil starts to help your condition improve. However, many people find that CBD produces noticeable effects already after just 2 weeks, regardless of body mass. Finding the right dose is essential in terms of how quickly the positive effects will take place. It’s important to keep in mind that all people react differently to the CBD. Some experience positive results such as improved sleep and more energy after a few drops, while others need a much higher dose to reach these effects. All we can do is to motivate you to constantly try and learn more about yourself and your body. CBD affects the body’s production of endocannabinoids, which in turn stimulates different receptors which often lead to a pain-relieving effect.
When the body’s natural system is stimulated, without supplying substances that itself adds something the body cannot produce, positive effects occur without significant side effects. We recommend starting with a low dose and as the body adjusts and gets used to the substance, you can increase the dose in alignment.
CBD along with other medicines?
As you probably understand, we cannot answer this question for every single medicine available, but in large the answer is yes. Everything from vitamin supplements to opiate-based drugs usually works fine along with cannabidiol (CBD). Some people, however, find that CBD enhances the effects of their other medications. It may, therefore, be a good idea to slowly initiate the use of CBD. We suggest that you do your own research on your particular medicine to find out whether it’s compatible with CBD or not. Some people skip the medication altogether and initiate the use of CBD. Others choose to use CBD in conjunction with their regular medication and slowly increase the CBD dose while either keeping their current medicine dose or lower it in accordance with the increase in CBD.
CBD in itself has no addicting effects which are an advantage. If you take CBD in order to treat deficits such as depression or anxiety, the depression or anxiety will not return the day you stop. If you suffer from something more permanent as pain, the pain can slowly come back, however.
We always recommend consulting your doctor when taking CBD along with other medicines. In connection with, for example, KBT related medication, continuous drug tests can occur. We recommend that you keep an open dialogue with your doctor in this situation where you explain that you are taking CBD oil (without any intoxicating effects) and proceed based on your doctor’s response. Worth mentioning is that some people who have been found to use CBD products in situations similar to the one above have had their treatments canceled and had their prescriptions to their medications withdrawn. This applies mainly to psychological treatments such as KBT.
